Street Teaching is an important way to directly reach the people of our nation. It is a vehicle to take the word directly to our people as the Apostles of Christ did.
Isaiah 30:20 “And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:”
Luke 14:23 “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”
Proverbs 1:20-21 “Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,”
Public teaching also leads to public debate that causes scrutiny of all doctrine to determine truth and reasoning. It provides a neutral territory where people can ask questions, challenge biblical doctrine and receive edification.
Acts 17:17 “Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.”
