A Woman Should NOT Wear Pants


Personal Note: I am writing this article to exhort, teach, and inspire all Israelite women (blacks, Latinos, Hispanic, Chicano, west Indian, native American, Jamaican, Caribbean) to return to the law of the Most High God and begin dressing in His required modest apparel. When I was in a gentile state-of-mind I wore pants and was in opposition to changing my clothing as long as I thought my intentions were good. But God requires us to love him in spirit and in truth, being a doer of his law; therefore, dying to my own way, I traded my pants for skirts and dresses, then, became a doer of the law in this regard. Lawfully, a woman should not wear pants let me prove it.

The Law States:

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 22:5)

Question#1 – Who were pants made for? Answer: Men

louisabookIn 1919, Luisa Capetillo challenged mainstream society by becoming the first woman in Puerto Rico to wear trousers in public. Capetillo was sent to jail for what was then considered to be a crime, but, the judge later dropped the charges against her. Wikipedia

If pants were originally for men & women, why would a woman go to jail for putting on pants in the year 1919? Just arrestedlike the Rosa Parks scenario, when she went to jail for sitting in the wrong area of the bus, Luisa was beginning a new epidemic. But this time the epidemic was going to be that women would be able to wear men’s apparel which was at that time a strange thing.

God’s Law States:

“And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.” (Zephaniah 1:8)

“The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.” (Deuteronomy 22:5)

Question#2 – Have you ever heard the phrase, “Who wears the pants”, in reference to someone’s household? What does that phrase imply?


we-wear-pantsIt simply implies that a man is the leader of the household and the one who should be wearing the pants. And if the woman in the house is the one taking care of everything, then she should put the man’s pants on because she has taken on the man’s role.

Question #3 – When did women begin wearing pants and was it absolutely necessary?

pantedcoalminerIn the 1920s women had to go to work because their men were at war, they had to do jobs which pertained to men and therefore began to put on men’s pants. Wikipedia

But was putting on pants absolutely necessary or could it have been a show of resentment and rebelliousness as a result of spousal neglect. Consider these words of wisdom found in the Apocrypha,choicelifeordeath “A woman, if she maintain her husband, is full of anger, impudence, and much reproach.” (Ecclesiasticus 25:22)

1920s-miners-without-pantsIf a man is at war and the woman is left without any saved up income to take care of herself or children and then has to leave her children to go work in a factory or even a coal mine while still taking care of the house duties AND children, what would be a better slap in the face than “wearing the pants” – so that when her husband returns from war and sees them he will become belittled and have a since of inadequacy for leaving her and the children without resources.

It seems like a reasonable tit-for-tat right? Wrong! The Most High gives no man license to sin. During the time of slavery, slave women in the house and in the fields tended to their work in modest dresses.

It is possible for a woman to, “not wear that which pertaineth to a man…”
In the 1960s, André Courrèges introduced long trousers for women as a fashion item, leading to the era of the pantsuit and designer jeans and the gradual erosion of social prohibitions against girls and women wearing trousers in schools, the workplace and in fine restaurants.Wikipedia

andresWhat Andre Courreges failed to realize is the prohibition of pants was a law or commandment derived from the Most High God who is creator of all things including the divine order: God, Christ, Man, Woman, then Child. Furthermore, the trend that Andre Courreges started and we, women- especially Hebrew Israelite women, continued to follow has put us on the wrong side with the Most High God. And being on the wrong side of God creates compounded horrific situations in our lives.

God’s Law States:

“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is AGAINST NATURE:” Romans 1:26
We must go back to what is “nature” or natural so that the Most High God does not continue to leave us with the resulting repercussions, the curse, of vile affections. So what did the Most High create to be in the nature of women clothing? Here are some basics:

Modest Apparel (1Timothy 2:9) which includes:

head-scarf*A head covering when praying or prophesying (1Corinthians 11:5)

*Wearing a modest dress or skirt knee length or longer (1Timothy 2:9, Exodus 28:42)

FRINGES.2*Fringes and ribbon of blue must be on the border or hem of every garment (Numbers 15:38)
