Deuteronomy 7:6; “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”
As Hebrew Israelites we are very special people unto the Most High, so much that he also instructed us not to wear garments of mixed materials. Most High wants nothing but the best for us. Garments of mixed materials are not to be touching our special bodies.
Leviticus 19:19; “Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.“
Deuteronomy 22:11; “Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together.”
Everything we wear should be 100% of one material. It can’t be 54% Linen and 46% Cotton or any other material. The tag must read 100% Cotton or 100% Linen. We have to be mindful when purchasing clothes. Be sure to check all labels. At first it will seem like it may be a hassle but soon you will get used to it. Get into the habit of checking the label prior to checking for your size and definitely before trying it on. As soon as you see something you like check the label. Why waste your time looking through everything only to find out its 60% linen and 40% polyester?
Here is a list of items that you NEED TO MAKE SURE ARE 100% OF ONE MATERIAL: Shirts, Pants, Shorts, Dresses, Skirts, Blouses, Slips, Undergarments, Socks, and any head coverings, basically ANYTHING that you wear. There is no if’s, and’s or butts, no way of getting around it. It is a law given to us by the Most High.
I know buying a whole new wardrobe is costly so don’t go throwing everything you own that is mixed away. Instead, starting NOW, every time you purchase something make sure its 100% and get rid of the old stuff slowly but surely and soon everything you own will be 100%
Sometimes you might find it hard to find clothing that is 100%. Give yourself plenty of time to purchase an outfit for a special event or consider making it yourself. Just be sure the material you purchase is 100 and it meets all of your expectations.
