Why Are We Here?

Have you ever wondered what our purpose for being on this earth is or why we were created at all? If you were to go around and ask, many would say that the purpose to life is to pursue happiness and to fulfill all desires.  Others will say that we were given this life to make the most of it.  “You only live once!!” is the motto that this generation lives by.  But is this really the purpose to life? Were we really put here just to have fun and do whatever pleases us?  The answer is NO. “Let us here the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” Ecclesiastes 12:13. Not Today Satan

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them. 7And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?  Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it” (Job 1:6-7). On a daily basis we are faced with people, instances, circumstances, etc. that try our faith in the most High and His laws.  These situations test whether we will do the right thing or not and attempt to persuade us into going against the most High.  Satan is always looking to pull us away from God and he uses many tactics to do so.  Family, work, school, friends, everything can become a means for Satan to use in order to steer us away from doing what is right...

Being Accountable

“So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:12)  There comes a point in life where we must grow up and realize that we, and none else, are responsible for our own actions.  “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things” (2 Corinthians 13:11).  It is a childish mentality to put our actions on another.  A mentality, I must admit, many (myself included) still succumb to.
