Ready for Tabernacles?

During the Exodus of the Israelites from Goshen Egypt both men and women were headed to a journey in the wilderness of Mount Sinai.  When I think about that time I wonder, as an Israelite woman, would I have been one of the complaining ones who found herself put to death by the Most High God in the wilderness (Numbers 16:27,31-32), or would I have been a helper who sewed tapestry and fine things for the building of the Tabernacle? Exodus 35:22; “And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted…”  How about survival? Would I have known any survival skills or been willing to accept instruction from a fellow experienced Israelite sister regarding what it took to survive in the wilderness of Mount Sinai? Deuteronomy 7:6; “For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.”                 As Hebrew Israelites we are very special people unto the Most High, so much that he also instructed us not to wear garments of mixed materials. Most High wants nothing but the best for us. Garments of mixed materials are not to be touching our special bodies.  Leviticus 19:19; “Ye shall keep my statutes. Dealing with pagan holidays

Coming into the truth is a big change in one’s daily life, but it can be easy to deal with. Now having to deal with the changes of not celebrating any pagan holidays can be a little more difficult, especially when you have grown up with a close knit family.  I remember when I was first introduced to the truth and realized I would no longer be attending those family gatherings, it was tough for me. I was able to completely stay away from the location but at midnight I would end up in tears speaking to all my siblings over the phone.
