What to say? When to say it? How to say it? Was it understood? Did I make you a friend or did I create an enemy? Should I just stay silent and let the spirits, both good and bad, run rapid? I don’t know about most, but these are the questions that run through my mind after a communication session with brethren. So that leaves me torn between two thoughts; should I stay quiet or should I communicate. But why would any question be running through my mind if communication goes two ways – someone is not communicating. The scriptures say study to be quiet and do your own business. (1Thessalonians 4:11). The scriptures also say to do good and communicate.(Hebrew 13:6) BUT… How do we translate both scriptures? I LOVE MY HUSBAND MORE THAN MY KIDS!

Yes, you read that right!  I LOVE MY HUSBAND MORE THAN MY KIDS!!  This statement only comes as a shock because we live in a culture where at special family dinners the kids have moved from sitting at the extra card table to the head of the table!  Never think that you are doing your children a favor by prioritizing them over your husband.  You’re not.  It’s out of order.  When can disorder bring harmony?  Never. First and foremost, never, ever forget that the FIRST love between a husband and his wife must be the obeying of the commandments: I John 5:3: “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” You cannot love your husband, or your wife for that matter, above the commandments of the Most High. HE CAN’T THINK LIKE A WOMAN, NOR CAN YOU THINK LIKE A MAN

You go to use the bathroom right after your husband and you get so mad because he didn’t put on a new roll of toilet paper when it ran out.  You see hubby walk right passed a sock on the floor that he didn’t even bother to pick up and put in the dirty clothes hamper.  You are planning a summer vacation and when you talk to hubby about it, his reaction was not exactly enthusiastic.  Yes, all these are trivial matters in the grand scheme of things, but have the power to incite BIG MARITAL WARS. “Your glorying is not good, Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”  I Corinthians 5:6 On the surface it may seem like our husbands don’t think or worry about the things we do, almost like they don’t care.  But guess what, they actually feel the same...
