Why the long face Israelite?! Sure, a day in this world can leave you with a broken spirit, but there is a way to reverse that broken feeling! Have you ever heard the saying, “Laughter is the best medicine?” I’m sure you can remember a moment when you had a somewhat difficult day until someone or something made you smile or laugh. JOY, truly has the positive power to turn a frown upside down, leaving you feeling uplifted! A merry heart has the natural ability to reverse negative emotions and in some cases relieve or even help reverse internal illness.
JOY Relieves Stress, Fear, Anxiety, and Pain!
We live in a world infused with negativity created to infect all, especially us Israelites. And since we are the weaker vessel, we women MUST NOT forget that in our Israelite walk the Most High will be perfecting us in our trials and tribulations. We cannot leave our spirits open for negativity to slide on in. Surely, stress, fear, anxiety, and pain in our lives will turn up during these difficult times. We are in a spiritual warfare. Our Father has given His children a special spirit making us able to work through tough times throughout life in the truth.
“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” ~Proverbs 18:14
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” ~2 Timothy 1:7
“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall NOT DOUBT in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” ~Mark 11:23
A positive attitude will make us more capable at handling difficult situations. Negativity is less absorbed, making us better able to endure and handle difficult situations righteously. Our trials and tribulations will leave us with well learned experiences that extend our growth as Israelite women. Who knows, later on you may be able to inspire another sister in her own walk; a positive attitude is important.
“And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:” Romans 5:3-4
It is also very possible for you to progress forward in tough times because God does not put more on us than what we can handle.
“But God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. ~1 Corinthians 10:13
Psychologically speaking, pain and fear, stress or anxiety are also much easier to bear when we combat with something to be happy about. Whether its internal illness, physical injury, mourning of a recent passed loved one, any form of struggle and negativity, no matter the situation, we still have so many more reasons to be grateful and happy. Are we not Israel?
We FINALLY TRULY know who we are
We are the ONLY people the Most High has chosen
We are the ONLY people to have a GOD
We are BETTER than all other nations’ on the whole entire earth.
We have the law, which we practice to perfect!
The Kingdom is promised to us!
Our people are WAKING up!
And knowing that every struggle has its vital purpose for your perseverance in this walk, what is there not to be grateful and happy? Yahawashi is the perfect example: that we ought to follow:
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” ~John 16:33
“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” ~1 Peter 5:10-11
JOY Releases Endorphins
Endorphins are the “feel good” hormones in our body which gives us feeling of elation, also responsible for temporary pain relief. They are produced by the pituitary gland and hypothalamus; and are released during exercise, meditation, love, sexual activity, spicy food, and chocolate. They are also produced when the person is stressed or in pain, in order to make it more bearable.
JOY = Immune System Boost
Worrying too much can literally cause you to feel unwell! “Worried sick” isn’t a metaphor. A happier outlook in life increase the amounts of healthy immune cells. So cheer up Israel!
JOY Protects the Heart
Among our people alone (so-called Negroes, Hispanic, and Native American Indians), we tend to have more health issues than any other nation. To help reverse these issues, we first must understand and can’t say enough, that attitude is everything! A negative attitude clearly states that you have no hope in getting well and absolutely no faith either. It’s been long established that negative emotions such as depression and anger should be avoided ESPECIALLY by those with a health condition. AT ALL COST! While maintaining a neutral emotional and psychological state won’t endanger you or your organs, being happy is what can really protect our health and overall health.
“Hope deferred maketh the heart sick:” Proverbs 13:12
JOY gives you a better sense of well-being
Happy people are more inclined to take care of themselves. They’ll eat healthier because they don’t need to be comforted by excessive junk food; and will have more energy to do physical activity. Most importantly, they will be more resistant to mood-enhancing/altering bad habits such as drugs, smoking and excessive alcohol consumption.
“Sirach 30:23 Love thine own soul, and comfort thy heart, remove sorrow far from thee: for sorrow hath killed many, and there is no profit therein.”
“Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” ~Philippians 4:11
JOY Draws people to you
Who wouldn’t prefer being around a cheerful person rather than a depressed cynic? Realistically speaking, people would rather be in the presence of someone who wouldn’t bring them down. Laughter is infectious, so the better you feel, the better you treat others. The better you treat others, the more they like you.
The next time you’re feeling down or a little under the weather, seek humor. After all it is free! Find comfort in meditation! Who’s better to talk with than Yahawashi? Remember He knows firsthand how negative this world is; and how difficult it is being an Israelite living in it. Don’t forget your loved ones, for they too can comfort you as well. And even begin counting off all the things you have in your life that make you happy (like I mentioned above). I bet you’ll find yourself feeling much better in no time. The Israelite life isn’t for the faint-hearted. We have to utilize joy to keep us sane in terrible conditions. During slavery, our foremothers and forefathers made songs to get them through each day. Today we should utilize joy to help us make it to the end.
“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning” ~ II Peter 3:20
Last time, attitude is everything! We will experience difficulties in many forms. So let nothing or no one steal your joy! Together let’s endure correctly and with a MERRY HEART!
