Ease During Your Cycle

As Israelites, both men and women have an image to uphold.  In order to strive for excellence, the virtuous women of Israel must not be whining and complaining about our cycles as the other nations do especially if there are some things most of us can do in order to solve this uncomfortable time.  It is not comely to go around ranting at work or around groups of people about your “period” or “pms” issues.  In addition, with a little research I have discovered some physical things we can do that can give a little ease and help us in upholding the highest level of virtue during this time of the month.

Before the list of steps of things we can do for ease, here is a list of scriptures for review and meditation:


Genesis 3:16 – Unto the woman he said,I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children…

Proverbs 11:17 – The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.

Ecclesiasticus 26:8 A drunken woman and a gadder abroad causeth great anger, and she will not cover her own shame. 

Ecclesiasticus 26:25A shameless woman shall be counted as a dog; but she that is shamefaced will fear the Lord. 

Proverbs 10:31 – The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

Probverbs 31:10,2610Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Now below are some actual things that can and have been done by Israelite women to help give a woman ease during the time of her Menstrual Cycle:

#1 – Pray a lot because Satan hunts anyone who is in a weakened state.

#2 – 1 week prior to cycle, take multi-vitamins every morning (preparing for excessive vitamin and mineral loss) and Evening Primrose at night (balances out the hormones that affect your mood)

#3 – 1 week prior to cycle, do nothing stressful in the evening and sip a cup of Chamomile tea or Female Toner tea before bed. (Find these teas at Traditionalmedicinals.com)

#4 – During the first 3 days of cycle, go to bed early (let your body adjust to the mass vitamin, mineral, and water loss). Drink decaffeinated green tea to assist your body during this cleansing period. The stimulant from strong caffeine may imbalance your hormones and that brings mood swings.

#5 – During cycle, give in to  your chocolate cravings but only good quality chocolate and go for walks as often as possible can be slow or fast. (The chocolate is a mood enhancer and walking releases  cramps and irritability)

#6 – During cycle drink only decaffeinated green or ginger or bergamot tea at least 3 times a day (Eases irritability).  Drink lots of water( Itprevents dehydration and aids in the replenishment of the blood lost during our cycle. Therefore,  replenishing the white and red blood cells which is important for the immune system during and afterwards when recovering from blood lost. The body will also get the most out of the process in which breaking food down and the absorption of the nutrients of healthy food). Drink George’s Distilled Aloe Vera Water (cuts bloating in half)

#7 – During cycle eat raisins, prunes, or very green leafy salads a lot.  And if you have iron deficiency take a liquid iron supplement around 3 or 4pm each day when your body is losing energy. (Floradix is a vegetable based iron that helps replace blood loss and regulates body temperature)

#8 – During cycle listen to smooth music if possible or meditate on scriptures learned or take at least 30 minutes of absolute quite time per day. (Helps your body gain back strength and sobriety)

#9 – During your cycle eat 3 to 4 light meals per day (Light meals will put less strain on your liver, kidneys, pancreas, and heart, until your body completes the cyclic period)

At first these rituals will seem like extra work, but by the 3rd cycle it will become custom and you won’t suffer as bad as before and you may become a bit more clear minded,which will add to your virtuous behavior among the nations
