GROWING A SUPER-FOOD

PLANTING A SUPER-FOOD

Greens! You may start with seeds or buy a few seedling plants that are already a few inches high at your local store in the Gardening Department or a nursery.  Always use natural organic soil or organic compost if you can.  You can also use the soil from your yard if you have one.  You can use a good natural plant growth vitamin supplement if needed, if you have hard clay like soil in your yard.  Mix with soil or add it to the water, follow the instructions on package.  Find a nice area in your yard with semi sun light. Plant your seeds or seedlings about 18 inches apart from each other. You may plant any kind of greens of your liking.  If planting with seeds, use only a half finger size hole in the ground and drop your seed! If you choose to plant using seedlings, just follow the instructions on the plant container.  Your plant needs watering every day, but please don’t over water it. Watch it grow, if you see any bugs, put in a spray bottle a dime size of regular dish soap and fill rest of the bottle with water. Spray your plant with soap mixture, this will not hurt your plant it’s an all-natural solution!  When your plant is about 2 1/2 to 3 feet high and your plant leaves have grown about a good medium size, you may pick the leaves off for harvesting.  Pick your leaves off at the end of the main stock.  Don’t let the leaves get too large because they may be too tough to eat.  All types of Greens are GREAT!  These guys have nutrients that support your metabolism to help maintain healthy skin, hair, bones and teeth especially for our developing children!
