Greetings my fellow Israelite Sisters. I’ve had discussions with different women on many different occasions regarding the reasons why we should make our own baby formula because some of the chemicals found in store bought baby formula may be harmful to your baby. If a mother has no time or lacks the ability to make their own formula, be sure your baby’s store bought formula is safe and feed your baby. [Mark 16:16-18]
For those of you who have the time and desire to make your baby’s formula, I will provide the recipe and instructions below. I have used this recipe when going on vacation, when I was sick and couldn’t pump consistently and also when my body was not able to produce enough milk for my growing baby, due to the hectic work schedule.

Stainless steel pots, without aluminum or other metal mixtures, are known to be anti-bacterial; therefore, there will be no lingering germs going into your baby’s formula. Put the stainless steel stock pot on the stove on a low simmer to begin the process.
Distilled water is a tad bit cleaner than purified water because lead, viruses, and bacteria are removed from the water as a result of the distillation process. Using this type of water helps give more control of exactly what is in the baby’s formula. Add the 8 cups of distilled water to the warm stock pot.
Carrots will provide your baby with key nutrients like vitamin A and vitamin K. Add the ½ cup of carrots to the stock pot of water.
Almonds are high in vitamin E, A, as well as fiber. They are also a source of protein. Add the ½ cup ground almonds to the stock pot and slightly stir.
Coconut is moisturizing to the internal body and it is fruit full of anti-oxidants. Studies have also revealed that coconut has the same immune building properties found in breast milk, so this will also serve as your baby’s immune system supplement. Add all of the coconut shreds as well as the coconut water into the stock pot with the other ingredients. Stir again.
Oats are a great source of fiber for colon health and they also have traces of Iron, they will also add the milky consistency to the formula. Add the 2 cups of oats.
Now that all the ingredient has been added, stir to make sure everything is blended well and let the entire homemade formula simmer for 1 hour with the lid on so that none of the nutrients in the vapor escapes. Turn off the formula and let it sit until the pot is warm to the touch, instead of burning hot.Use your cheese cloth strainer and stainless steel pitcher to strain small amounts at a time and make sure no particles end up in the milk.
