Bathroom Etiquette
Bathroom etiquette; it’s a little more like bowl movement laws when you dive into it but hey who’s being technical right? Well, this may be a little uncomfortable for some of us, nevertheless, we must still address laws concerning bodily functions. Although, not as pertinent for some of us due to location and modernization, this law is very much so alive for some of our people in other regions. And may even apply to all of us under certain conditions. Yet, the law is still in its force and applies regardless.
Deuteronomy 23:12 KJVS
Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
When one had to go to the bathroom it was important to have a designated location as to where one would go to the bathroom. It was not a free for all. We couldn’t just go take a piss behind any bush or tree. You couldn’t choose any place in the open that seemed adequate or acceptable to you. Why? Think about it, if you have everyone choosing a spot to take a piss the whole area will start to smell like urine. You can tell when someone has urinated in an area. It leaves an odor. So we have to have agreed on and designated areas. And this place had to be outside the camp. Outside the place where we congregate, eat, sleep etc. No one wants to smell that sugar honey ice tea.
Deuteronomy 23:13 KJVS
[13] And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee:
Furthermore, even in war, we also had to have a paddle of some sort handy so that when we did go to the bathroom we first had to dig a hole. Yes, you had to dig a hole, ditch, pit, you name it. Then we could relieve ourselves and have our bowl movement. But the deed isn’t done, you must turn behind you and face your bodily waste and cover it up with dirt so that nobody comes behind you and steps right in your hot mess. Even if you have a port-o-potty put the lid down! That would be the equivalent of covering it. If you are using a toilet don’t forget to flush!
Deuteronomy 23:14 KJVS
[14] For the LORD thy God walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee.
The Most High goes through our camp and he does not want to smell our crap and piss as he is moving amongst us. You must keep the camp holy that he doesn’t see something he considers unclean and turn away from you. I mean think about it. Have you ever been in mid conversation talking to a relative or friend and they secretly let one go? Doesn’t the smell oftend you and make you want to stop talking? The Most High feels even worse. He is not about to deliver us if we smell like what we released five minutes ago or an hour ago.
Now if you have a flushable toilet, this law isn’t as big of a deal. You have a place set aside for you to use the bathroom just don’t forget to flush. And of course wipe your anus and wash your hands! Now this I speak in wisdom, keep disinfectant wipes to wipe any toilet seat along with anything in the bathroom you must touch and keep baby wipes or flushable wipes (although, don’t actually flush them, wrap and trash them) but of course tissue first then baby wipe. It will help keep you cleaner and reduce your body odor. Dry tissue alone will not get enough of the human excrement off of you. I mean at least layer up the tissue and add some moisture (like water) to get the excess crap off of you. Even that makes a difference.
Leviticus 20:7 KJV
Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.
