Regeneration

Many have wondered, “Have we been here before?” “Are we reincarnated?” “Will I ever come back again or be a plant or animal?” The short answer is yes. However, there are some differences in understanding and doctrine concerning this belief. So let’s gather the scriptural understanding of what that actually looks like and rightly divide the word.

John 9:1-2 KJVS

[1] And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. [2] And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Here we see a simple scripture that has a lot of meat on its bone. Christ and his disciples saw a man who was born blind. At first, none of us would be alarmed by this as we see this even in todays day and age. However, the disciples raise a question. “WHO did sin, THIS man or his PARENTS, that he was BORN blind?” Our forefathers understood a key fact that we don’t know in this day and age. Disabilities and sicknesses, especially ones in which we are born with, are not natural or normal. They are the result of sin and iniquity.

We also gain insight as to another fact. That the sins of the parents effect the children. So if you are wondering why your child is born with certain birth defects or illnesses, YOU may be the answer you are looking for, or rather your actions.

Lastly, we gain that even if you are a newborn baby, that does not mean you are innocent. The flesh is new but the spirit is old. You have been here before and you may have been a very wicked individual in a past life, hence, why the disciples asked what they asked.

Matthew 11:7-15 KJVS

[7] And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? [8] But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses. [9] But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. [10] For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. [11] Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. [12] And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. [13] For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. [14] And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. [15] He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Malachi 4:5 KJVS

[5] Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord :

John the Baptist and Elias (Elijah) were the same individual. That is… the same spirit. Which also points to the fact that you do not come back with the same name that you had. As the name pertains to the flesh. Nor do you necessarily come back to the same immediate family such as mother, father and siblings. This would also indicate things such as your facial features, hair texture and skin tone would change as well, naturally.

John 1:19-23 KJVS

[19] And this is the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou? [20] And he confessed, and denied not; but confessed, I am not the Christ. [21] And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No. [22] Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself? [23] He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.

The people saw the manner in which John applied the word and taught the people and knew that he had to be someone of significance. And it wasn’t just anyone inquiring as to who he was, it was the Levites and the priest. They knew the scriptures well and understood the prophecies to know Elijah would come and then Christ. When John was asked if he was the Christ, the messiah, he said that he was not. He never put himself in a place to say it was not a possibility he just did not believe he was. Yet, even when asked if he was Elias he said he was not and denied him being any great prophet although he was a great prophet. This was not out of modesty more than out of a lack of knowledge as to know for certain who he was.

Ecclesiastes 1:11 KJVS

[11] There is no remembrance of former things ; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

This is why John the Baptist could not confirm if he was Elijah, when the people kept asking who he was. He sincerely did not know. He could not confirm nor deny such allegations. For when you die, there is no remembrance of who you were and the life you lived.

Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJVS

[7] Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

The cycle continues. You live, you die, and your spirit goes back to “heaven” back to the Most High and then he decides if he will use it again. Need that be to use you for good or evil. To test you and prove you more or use you to help others. So in essence, all souls go to heaven. But there is still a final judgement.

Revelation 1:5,7 KJVS

[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, [7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

How could those that pierced Christ be able to see him in the last days when he returns if they died? Because Christ through the power and authority given him will ensure that they are regenerated and able to be alive during this time.

John 19:33-34 KJVS

[33] But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: [34] But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Christ will also come to repay vengeance to those that pierced him through the spirits he allowed to come back that were there then.

Titus 3:5-6 KJVS

[5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
