Understanding the Curses
It is written in the Bible that the Most High only loves and is concerned about ONE nation of people, ISRAEL. He claims Israel to be his own people, has not made a covenant with any other nation, and deals with Israel as his own children. (Amos 3:1-2; Deuteronomy 7:6; Isaiah 40:17; Jeremiah 32:38).
The Nation of Israel is the so-called Blacks, Latinos, and the indigenous Native Americans. Like parents and their children, the Most High has high expectations and holds us to a higher standard than anyone else. God will punish the judge and punish the nations but because Israel has entered into a covenant with God, they will be punished first for breaking that covenant.
For whom the lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. (7) if ye endure chastening, god dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? (8) but if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Hebrews 12:6-8
The correction Israel received is the curses or punishments found in Deuteronomy 28:16-68. If Israel kept the commandments they would be highly valued and rule over the other nations as long as they lived, they would be given prosperity and be on top forever. Though we do not rule, we are still highly valued. You don’t just stop loving your child because they disobey. We are still a treasure; we are just receiving our chastening.
And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the lord thy god, to observe and to do all his commandments which i command thee this day, that the lord thy god will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: Deuteronomy 28:1
This is the first stipulation of the ultimatum given unto Israel. If we were obedient we would be rewarded, we would have no need of correction or discipline. We would also be given the promises of prosperity mentioned in verses 2-14. But, we didn’t and that leads to the next half of the ultimatum. If we were disobedient we would be cursed.
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the lord thy god, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which i command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Deuteronomy 28:15
Unfortunately, this is the side that we received. These curses would stick to the Israelites and follow us no matter where we went. All of Israel has to endure the curses; as a nation. I will discuss the most evident amongst Israel.
The lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. Deuteronomy 28:25
This has happened to all Israel. We are the stronger race physically, spiritually and mentally. You see boxing, MMA, or any type of fighting or physical competition you see Israel at the top, Ilike Usain Bolt, who was declared the fastest man to ever live. And despite all this power and strength, the so called “Latinos” were conquered by Spanish conquistadors, the so-called “Native Americans” were slaughtered by Europeans with their manifest destiny ideology, and the so-called” Blacks” were put in slavery. We have all been conquered and destroyed before our enemies. Even after all this destructive history, we are still in our oppressors’ land and are scattered because of our continued disobedience. We haven’t been able to save ourselves nor be saved by anyone.
Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. Deuteronomy 28:31
Before the arrival of Christopher Columbus and other wicked Europeans, the so-called “Native Americans” lived off of the land. From the rich plains for crops, the water, and predominantly from the buffalo, the Native Americans were self-reliant. They believed in using every part of the buffalo, not wasting any part of it. The skin was used for clothing, shelter, and shields. The meat was used for food and the horns for weapons and instruments. The bones were used for instruments and heavy weaponry. While some tribes were domestic farmers, the natives as a nation, did not rely on this until the near extinction of the buffalo caused by the Europeans. There were millions of buffalo at one point in time and all the natives had to do was follow them as they migrated, and because of the massive number of buffalo, they usually wouldn’t even have to venture far off. However, with the large influx of Europeans the buffalo became more and more scarce. The Europeans hunted the buffalo for sport and would hardly ever even consume the meat or use any other part of it. It was just a game and a pass time. Researchers estimate that prairie bison alone numbered between 30 million and 200 million, while a woodland variant existed in smaller numbers. Some U.S. Government officials even promoted the destruction of the bison herds as a way to defeat their Native American enemies, who were resisting the takeover of their lands by white settlers. One Congressman, James Throckmorton of Texas, believed that “it would be a great step forward in the civilization of the Indians and the preservation of peace on the border if there was not a buffalo in existence.” Soon, military commanders were ordering their troops to kill buffalo — not for food, but to deny Native Americans their own source of food. One general believed that buffalo hunters “did more to defeat the Indian nations in a few years than soldiers did in 50.” By 1880, the slaughter was almost over. Where millions of buffalo once roamed, only a few thousand animals remained. Soon, their numbers dwindled, with the largest wild herd — just a few hundred animals — sheltered in the isolated valleys of the newly created Yellowstone National Park.
Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long; and there shall be no might in thine hand. Deuteronomy 28:32
During the time of slavery, almost all families were broken up. In order to erase the history of our people and eliminate the structure of our nation, they had to split us apart. The man, being the leader, was sold to the highest bidder to keep him from raising his boys as strong men. Instead, the woman was left in charge to raise men. In a desperate attempt to salvage what was left of the family, she would teach her son to be as weak as possible, to seem as harmless as possible to the slave master. But, if the slave master was prideful, or was very rich, or he simply felt like selling him, the young slave man would be sold first, and anyone who had tried to save him was severely punished. The slave masters used various atrocities like dismemberment, lynching, castration, whipping and other evil and inhumane methods to keep his slaves in check as well as strike fear into any others who dared to rebel. All the parents could do was watch as their children were taken to who knows where and try to comfort one another, if at all possible. (Deuteronomy 28:41)
The lord shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. Deuteronomy 28:36
Even the king we set over ourselves will be in captivity with us. He will not have any real political power. The king set over us now is the president of the country. Though we believe we have the power to choose the president, we really don’t. The president is nominated by electoral votes and not the individual citizen’s vote. We did not deal with (know) these other nations. And now they have nearly erased our former glory and teach us only the knowledge of ourselves from when we arrived in America as slaves. We have worshipped everything, but the God of the Bible. We have fallen into countless religions and beliefs from common Christianity, believing we are worshipping and calling upon Christ, but actually worshipping Caesar Borgia (son of Pope Alexander VI), to worshipping wood and stone in Islam, even to “Beyism” which is the worshipping of a popular singer Beyoncé. The children of Israel have no knowledge of who we were or the God our forefathers worshipped.
And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the lord shall lead thee. Deuteronomy 28:37
BY-WORD
PROVERB
ASTONISHMENT
Noun A word or phrase associated with some person or thing; a characteristic expression, typical greeting, or the like.
Noun A short popular saying, usually of unknown and ancient origin, that expresses effectively some commonplace truth or useful thought; adage.
Noun Overpowering, wonderer, surprise; amazement
We have become a byword, an astonishment and a proverb amongst every nation. There is a derogatory name for each of us in each language and nation nigger, coon, wetback, beaner, and savage, just to name a few. Common and popular phrases like “CP time, Niggas don’t read, and if you want to hide something from a nigga put it in a book” are used to describe our characteristics. Our ethnicity has changed nearly every 10 years in the census as well, from Negro, Afro- American, Colored, African American, now to just Black. We have been all kinds of names and titles. None of which have been of our choosing. We are also known for skill and ability and the most amazing to watch. You turn on the TV and all you will see is Israelites in every sport. From so-called” Latinos” in soccer and boxing and so-called “Negroes” in football, soccer, basketball, golf, boxing and BMX, just about any sport you name, we dominate, especially if it’s a money maker or entertaining to watch. We set and break the records.
A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: Deuteronomy 28:50
When we were conquered, no mercy was shown, to the elderly or the new born. The elderly that were found useless would simply be killed. The Europeans would also rape and beat pregnant women. They would cut a pregnant woman’s stomach open and rip the baby out of her body and kill it. In some instances they would decapitate the baby and kick its head around for entertainment. But, when slaves were taken, he began to realize each slave killed was money lost. So, when a pregnant woman would “misbehave” they would make her dig a hole and lie with her stomach in the dirt and beat her to prevent damage to the baby, this way they wouldn’t lose money. Once older slaves would no longer be able to work, many were simply sent away depending on the cruelty of the slave master.
And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the lord thy god hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: Deuteronomy 28:53
Another thing we have endured in our chastening is the siege of 70 A.D. When General Otis and his son Titus came against and seized Jerusalem slaughtering Jews and destroying the temple. In the famine and desolation that came after food was scarce. If you were unfortunate enough to survive the mass slaughter you faced ravaging soldiers, starvation and dehydration. In a state of desperation, many people began eating their own children as a last resort for survival or to save them from the horrors and atrocities soon to come.
From Babylon To Timbuktu by Rudolph R. Windsor, pg. 84: “In the year 65 BC the Roman armies under General Pompey captured Jerusalem. In 70 AD, General Vespasian and his son Titus put an end to the Jewish state, with a great slaughter...many outrages and atrocities were committed against the residue of the people. During the period from Pompey to Julius, it has been estimated that over 1,000,000 Jews fled into Africa, fleeing from Roman persecution and slavery. The slave markets were full of black Jewish slaves.”
So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: Deuteronomy 28:54
This is another very prevalent issue throughout Israel. When it says delicate and tender it does not mean homosexuals or effeminate, but refers to brotherly love. How some people are exceptionally compassionate, or of them that have a big heart; he’s saying even they will be evil toward their brother. Gang violence is huge amongst Israel. The KKK killed 3,446 so called Blacks in 86 years, black-on-black gang violence surpasses that number every 6 months. We don’t have to just look out for other nations, but our own people! In response to the Zimmerman case, social media repeated this claim.” In the 513 days between Trayvon dying and today’s verdict, 11,106 African-Americans have been murdered by other African-Americans.” We die by the multitude. Marc Lamont Hill threw out some statistics that put a sobering spin on the conversation: “Since 2001, about 2,000 American service men and women have died in Afghanistan; in that same time period, 5,000 people have died in Chicago.” And the numbers continue to go up. As of the end of July, homicides in the city were up about 27 percent and in the first quarter of 2012 the number of murders had jumped 60 percent over 2011. This is a report written in 2012 talking about only 1 city full of Israel killing each other off on a daily. Now imagine how many more cases there are amongst all of North and South America, Mexico, Brazil, and everywhere else Israel can be found. In addition to a high murder rate, Israel also leads all other nations in the number of broken homes. Our men leave their children and wives and lead in domestic violence.
The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, (57) and toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. Deuteronomy 28:56-57
Even our women have become spiteful and hateful towards their spouse and towards their children. Once upon a time, our women were so feminine they wouldn’t even walk on the ground barefoot now no longer are kind and caring for their families. Instead, they are malicious towards them. Wives cheat on their husbands, won’t support them, plot against them and wait for their demise. She is aggressive and hateful towards her children. Not only are women not even caring, but mothers now a days are worse than that. Even before a child is born, mothers choose to show their anger by having an abortion. Over 363,705 Black babies are killed yearly by abortion, making abortion the leader in Black deaths a year. And if they can’t afford an abortion or just decide not to get one, the outcome for the child is even worse. She gives birth only to give away her child or keeps the child but drops him off somewhere to be raised by a grandmother or babysitter. Mothers will even take out the hatred they have for the father of their child out on the child. They despise the child simply because they resemble their father. It is no longer a good thing to be anything like your father in even the slightest bit, whether it be his characteristics or mannerisms.
And the lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. (65) and among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: Deuteronomy 28:64-65
As prophecy has foretold, we have been scattered everywhere. You will find remnants of Israel throughout the four corners of the earth – dark and light. During slavery, we were shipped nearly everywhere in the Trans- Atlantic slave trade and many people have not moved from the region where their forefathers were taken in slavery. And we have been “swept away” with countless doctrines. One in particular is Islam. Our people are very prevalent and dedicated to Islam. Islam’s idol is the kabba stone. A holy rock believed to have power and supposedly sacred to the Muslims. They are not considered “true” Muslims unless they venture to Mecca (where the kabba stone is located) and worship and bow before it. They cast stones, seeds, and money, pretty much anything they can at the stone in an attempt to receive a blessing.
And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: Deuteronomy 28:66
Every day we leave there is no guarantee that we will come back. Sure, this is true for everyone, but it is exceptionally dangerous for Israel. Since we have been here, we haven’t had any real safety. Even today, we have the self-nominated neighborhood watchmen with a gun who feels as though he’s doing everyone a favor by following a “suspicious” character and killing him only to realize he is just a teenager. Ring a bell? If it isn’t other nations with false accusations that gun us down or by the police, then it’s us killing our own; oppressing our own people and killing each other off, throwing up twisted fingers and proclaiming our “hoods,” wearing red and blue putting in work for the “sets,” lynch men that now come with badges validating their ruthless killings.
And the lord shall bring thee into egypt again with ships, by the way whereof i spake unto thee, thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you. Deuteronomy 28:68
Another thing and the most evident is slavery. All of Israel has experienced it. Having our children stripped from us after battles or when we are simply no longer able to fight off those trying to take them. Native Americans having their children stripped from them and sold, or scalped alive and left for dead while their scalps were sold. Let us not forget the hundreds of thousands of children taken from their parents and sold as if they were animals or cargo. But, we were told this would happen if we transgressed the Most High’s laws and we disobeyed anyway. In this scripture especially, the Most High shows us specificity. He said that he would bring us back into Egypt with ships. Now, if you look at a map, Israel is located just a bit northeast of Egypt and accessible by land. You do not need a boat or ship to transport anything from Israel to Egypt. In fact, you would be going out of your way if you took a boat. So, Egypt must have another meaning.
Am the lord thy god, which have brought thee out of the land of egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exodus 20:2
Egypt in this sense means “The House of Bondage.” Egypt is a Hebrew word, Misrayim, meaning bondage. The Most High said he would take us back into bondage, but this time the transportation utilized will be slave ships. During the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade alone, over 1,000,000 slaves died. Slaves would endure terrible conditions. From defecation filled decks, being packed closely together, disease, being singled out, harassed, raped, butchered, or cast overboard by their captors. Because of the conditions of the slave ship disease would spread rapidly killing large amounts of slaves at once, especially smallpox. During the 18-month period it took to go from the eastern coasts of Africa to America, slaves would have their hip and shoulder dislocated the entire ride because of the ill designed shackles and close packing of slaves, known as “planking.” And there it was prophesied for us to be sold unto our enemies, and no man would buy us meaning to redeem. No man would save us nor take us out of our position. And though there were some slave owners known to be “kind slave owners,” they were still slave owners nonetheless and they did not change the title or position of the slave. This was our punishment for disobeying the Most High’s commandments.
