Ye are Gods

Psalm 82:6 KJVS

[6] I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

We hear it now more than ever. You are a god brother! The woman is god! Embrace your godhood sister! Yet, how many of us have really taken the time to consider, what does it truly mean to be a god? And am I sincerely moving as one or better yet, am I even trying?

Genesis 32:27-28 KJVS

[27] And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. [28] And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Remember our name; Yasharahla… And its meaning: Prince of Power. A “Prince” denoting the authority, honor, and royalty we descend from. “Of power” signifying the spiritual gifts and insight we are able to achieve. But what does this really mean? At least in application?

Psalm 82:6-7 KJVS

[6] I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. [7] But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Although we “are gods” we die as all other men do. And this is because of sin. Yet, have we still power, with our power, as a power. Granting us the ability to be able to have control over our flesh. To overcome mentally and physically. And this is due to be being strong spiritually. We as Israelites are BORN with the spiritual ability to overcome this world. And that is the key to unlocking your godly potential… Righteousness. Righteousness is what strengthens us spiritually, which then can carry forth and over to the mental and physical power we possess. Better to be weak of flesh and strong of spirit rather than to be strong of flesh and weak of spirit. For the flesh is limited. But the spirit breaks the barriers of the flesh. It is your super power.

1 Corinthians 9:27 KJVS

[27] But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Paul and many of our forefathers understood that as a god/power I must first have power over my own thoughts and my own actions. That no matter how I feel I cannot simply act on those feelings; I cannot succumb to my emotions. No matter what I think, I cannot act on every thought; I cannot be impulsive. No matter what happens in my life I cannot be reactive but I must learn to be  proactive. I must learn to become responsible. I must become able to respond appropriately based on the situation at hand. And not allow myself to be corrupted by adverse internal or external forces. However, I can be guided through wisdom by internal and external forces that align with the Most High’s Holy Spirit. And this is the heart of our godhood. As well as our test and burden.

Genesis 32:27-28 KJVS

[27] And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. [28] And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

The beauty in us and our name. Is that the angel said, “for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” The victory is already ours. We just have to move accordingly. In full faith, playing our part. Knowing God and his angels fight for us and with us and even working through us. If we fight to get right and stay right.

2 Samuel 22:33 KJVS

[33] God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Our strength is not our own. At least in the sense that it does not arrive or manifest from us alone. No matter how fast, strong, big or tall you are, your power is limited without God empowering your spirit. And if God is against you, all he has to do is cause a sprained ankle or wrist a slight tweaking of a joint, ligament or tendon and your game is off or over. Your momentum is lost and power/ force is cut. Anyone can have a bad day. And God has the power to easily ruin it. It doesn’t even have to be extreme like breaking a leg or arm. God reviles in the small things. Just a little leaven or faith the size of a mustard seed is all it takes. A little good or a little bad goes a long ways.

Deuteronomy 28:1,7,15,25 KJVS

[1] And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: [7] The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. [15] But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: [25] The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

If we were obedient unto God he would empower us to be able to overcome our enemies with ease. However, if we disobeyed God he allowed us to be overcome with ease.

It was never about our power as much as it was about Gods power working through us. Our power is enhanced through the Holy Spirit to make us power-FULL; full of Gods power and might in a human vessel. Able to overcome the world; as ye are gods.

2 Peter 1:2-4 KJVS

[2] Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, [3] According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: [4] Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Hebrews 2:13 KJVS

[13] And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
